The Sound Sculptor is a project created by musician and recording engineer Jeff Neiblum. The original intent was to take audio from field recordings and bring them back into the studio to create samples which would then be incorporated into music. The entire process would be captured on video and presented on a dedicated Youtube channel.

Since a large part of each video was done in the studio using samplers and other studio tools to create the samples, the project expanded to include videos about the studio and the tools themselves. The idea was to provide audio lovers and musicians just starting out in the world of recording with an ever growing repository of studio tips and tricks, interesting videos and articles on sound, recording, field recording and sample creation.

All of this really can’t be easily done on a Youtube channel – and so, The Sound Sculptor website was born. This gives us way more options! For example, we have a new tutorial available that explains everything you need to know to build a home recording studio. More guides and tutorials will be coming. We have a forum where viewers can talk to each other, ask questions, get answers, post interesting new ideas, tell jokes, whatever. The website will continue to grow with new pages and interesting information as fast as we can get it out there. Stay tuned!
